Never been groped, closest came when I was in my 20s and felt the back of my kilt being gently lifted while in a pub in Scotland. When I turned to spot the culprit, there were two little old ladies in their 80s...one armed with a cane lifting my kilt.
She asked if I was wearing it correctly. I assured her I was, both giggled and went back to their sherry....
I thought it was amusing, I'm sure they did too... never occurred to me to be offended.
Lots of questions about it too, I never give a straight answer to keep the myth alive....
I'm Army...so...that answers that...
Occasionally if a lass persists, I will offer a challenge...it never goes beyond that and everyone has a giggle.
I'm now in my fifties....either I'm too old or society has decided its inappropriate...alas...it has not happened in awhile...

I'm an old, fat female, so the issue has never come up for me. My husband, however... He used to work in casinos as a shift manager in Carson City, Nevada. For St. Patrick's Day, he would wear his kilt to work. There was usually some kind of celebration, involving drinking, prizes, drinking, gambling, drinking, etc... So it was not unusual for him to get "accosted" at least a couple of times. Per hour... And, given that he worked Swing Shift, when the customers were at their most rowdy, you can imagine the hilarity. His comeback if anyone wanted to see under his kilt was, "Sure, but don't forget, after that it's MY turn..." Lots of giggles, but no takers... Wasn't rare for him to find phone numbers with his tips, though...

In the interests of accuracy and fullness, can everyone who has been groped kindly provide exact details regarding location?

If it looks as if it will happen again, please ask the fair lady if she could just wait a few minutes whilst you contact me and I get my kilt on? Thanks.

Iím surprised how many people are okay with this happening to them or the idea of it happening.

Iím fortunate enough to never have been groped or upkilted, but if I were, the offender would most likely not be able to use their arm for a while.

And if it were someone taking a picture up my kilt, their phone/camera would find itself thrown on the ground and stomped. Lucky for them, I donít wear ghilles with taps on the heels anymore.

Yep; but it happened back in the '80s; seemingly a wilder time. We were marching and playing around a square bar...kind of like the one in the show "Cheers". Some women in stools, lifted and grabbed under our kilts as we passed. It doesn't seem to happen, these days. Perhaps it's the times; perhaps it's our age!

Being still somewhat new, I haven't had a groper yet. I have had the question many times, I usually answer with, "A lady never asks and, a gentleman never tells". That works sometimes but, my new favorite is, "Nothing more than what God graced me with".

My favorite when they are talking about me wearing a kilt, I tell them, "Some men need the extra room, the rest wear pants" I usually point out that "hmm, they are wearing pants".

Ah... Andrew... outside of the obvious... "'Twixt waist and knees"... :)
it's most generally... "In th' Pubs"... and most usually... after they've
had... a fair amount... of th' drink!!... :)

But... and sometimes... for the more determined... and daring... it's
also... outside... and not... necessarily... at night!! :) (The porches
of some pubs... and many a parking lot!!... have many... a Grand
Tale...to tell... :)

And as someone mentioned above... and along with some money
placed into a sporran... whilst playing :)... delving deeply therein...
and thereafter... sometimes... truly "odd bits" of paper... can also be
found... and with... names... phone numbers... offers... (Sigh... What's
a fella... to do?! :)

Good Grace!!... Gentlemen!!... Good Grace!! ...And... Carry On!! :)

Wishing for Happy!! and Un-complicated!!... Piping for All, :)
(We should all... pick... and choose... our complications... :)

Exactly where has this happened with all these offers? Asking for a friend of course.
