Default Yet another pipe ID Logan???

The seller says somebody says these could be Logan pipes.

Highland Bagpipe Makers has very little info on Logan, but suffice it to say that this Ebay set certainly doesn't look 120 years old!

I've seen those exact slides somewhere but I can't remember if they were on a Pakistani set or UK made set.

Thatís a bit of a head scratcher.

It definitely doesnít look over 100 years old, but the description says the mounts were swapped out and the slides added.

As for the origin of the slides, I think Iíve only seen them on Pakistani pipes, but the drone profile doesnít quite look Pakistani. Though itís hard to tell from the one photo.

Alan Logan made pipes from the 80s through to the 2000s. Little is said about him because he is a convicted criminal and the piping world turned it's back on him. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotla...lands-21589821

One would think that a book listing all known Highland bagpipe makers would include everyone regardless of what they do when they're not making bagpipes.

The usual practice over here when someone is jailed for paedophilia is to erase them.
This happens in the entertainment industry, films are shredded, tapes wiped, records destroyed, and a lot of other businesses and practices follow suit.
Funnily enough, I'm taking part in a meeting later this week with the author of Highland Bagpipe Makers, but it's a thorny subject and not one I'd be easy raising.
