Not to rain on the tone parade here (wink wink) but using different stocks AND tone enhancers will honestly tell you nothing about the actual tone these are going to produce.
Stocks make a huge difference, and anything stuck up into the bottom of the stocks will change airflow and volume drastically. You did find out how those pipes will sound in Dunbar stocks with Tone Enhancers though! haha.... ;) I can't wait to hear your impressions once you get them in their original stocks sans TE's. Finally got a chance to set them up properly, tone is much wider with more volume. The bass is now the predominant characteristic and the tenors have real harmonic potential. I am experimenting with rockets, kinnairds and a set of the cane reeds they came with, liking the cane!!!!
