Default Experience with Source Bagpipes

Anyone in the US have experience with Source bagpipes? Interested in a few of their premium sets and was curious is any forum members had luck shipping sets over. I'm not in love with dealing with ivory, so it might be a nonstarter if shipping is impracticable

Default Re: Experience with Source Bagpipes

While I did not end up purchasing a set from Ross at Source Bagpipes, I had an excellent experience dealing with him. He provided excellent communication, even sending me sound files of the pipes I was interested in, and the pricing was fair. As I was dealing with a set with ivory Ross appeared to be quite knowledgeable on exporting pipes outside of the UK (I am in Canada). I would not hesitate purchasing a set from Ross.

I eventually found a different set from another UK seller and the ivory pipes arrived in due course with the proper paperwork. With due diligence by the seller and buyer you should be able to import a set of pipes from the UK. For more information on my experience with importing a set of pipes with ivory from the UK to Canada check out my blog here. Other countries may have different rules. Good luck with it.
