Default Recommend a Kilt Shop?

So, I'm getting married in about 7 months, and I've outgrown my personal kilt a bit. I'm hoping to lose weight to fit into it... but realistically I'm probably looking at having to replace it.

I know Sandy St. James used to be the best value kilt-guy, but as far as I've been able to tell no one's taken over the business since he passed. So, anyone know the next-best-value for an American to get kilted up?

I got my kilt made by Kathy Lare. I have never had a problem with and it seems incredibly well made. She’s based in Albuquerque, NM.

I've had good experiences with USAKilts.com. Also with Scottish Modern in Chicago.

Kilt centre out of Hamilton. The best, and they use every tartan from the registry so you could get your clan tartan. Very affordable pricing too, but proper kilts. None of this half-donkey’d sport utility kilt nonsense that’s around.

Kathy Lare made my kilt. It was easy to work with her and the kilt is excellent quality. I highly recommend her.

Moira and Iain Donaldson of Lothian Kilts and Bagpipes provide a first class service. They may be an option. They are in Dunedin, Florida - but available through the internet.

They have provided me with two professionally done kilts. Outstanding service from people who care!

Best wishes -

You might be able to have alterations done to your kilt. Higgins in Kansas states that they can open up the waist about 8".
