Default Pipe Teacher in LaFayette, Indiana?

I had two students move to Lafayette, Indiana. Anyone know of a good piping instructor there or nearby? Once is on the pipes and the other is in the Green Book.

They should check out the Fountain Trust Pipe Band out of Covington, IN. (Roughly one hour to the SW). I don't know if they offer instruction from the band itself, but they may know of someone close by.

Paul,

I highly reccomend your students check out the Bloomington Pipers' Society in Bloomington, IN. We've got a great group of pipers at all levels (I began on practice chanter in January myself). And our membership is connected with several pipe bands in the area, including Fountain Trust Pipe Band as well as Southern Indiana Pipes and Drums. Feel free to PM me here or via our Facebook page to chat more. We'd love to connect with your students.

Best,
Joe Diodato

Aren't there pipe bands in Indianapolis? I seem to recall a local band that plays at the 500 parade each year. You could also check with the MWPBA.

That would be the Indianapolis Gordon 500 Pipers. I suppose the real question then becomes if Paul's students are more interested in a parade or competition band. Knowing that would narrow down the options tremendously.

Greetings to All,
(and kindly pardon this intrusion),

Obviously not knowing the students... but
and nonetheless... was it not of old... that
becoming a good... parade piper... would
then help place one into then becoming
ready for the study needful for entrance
into... the competitions?

Just a thought...

Regards to All,

Pip01
