Default Ailean Nicholson's Tunes Book 3 - Humors of Glendart

I can't find this tune book anywhere online, sadly. It supposedly also has no ISBN number. I'm looking for a bagpipe setting of the Humors of Glendart, which I've heard is in Nicholson's 3rd book.

Would anyone know if this book is scanned online or would any of you know about this tune?

Thank you!

I've been scouring the internet for books 2 and 3 of that series. I have the first. Best of luck. If you happen to find one, and there's more than one available, please let the collective here know!

Cheers,

Also, try posting a "WTB" request in the Trading Post. That's worked for me a few times for books I was really, really desperate to find.

Cheers,

I have all three volumes. Book 3 contains a jig called "The Humors of Ballymore".

Hi,
It is on page 90 of book 3. However, it is his setting of the traditional Irish tune which is widely available. You can find it in O'Neill's 'Dance Music of Ireland' as well as 'The Session' (a wonderful web site - just google it). A.N. transposes the tune from D up to A and most of it fits; the beginning of the second part takes a little alteration to get it to fit to the nine notes. Enjoy,
George
