Default Photo: what bands?

There's a funky CD widely available on Amazon Ebay etc that obviously used a stock photo for the cover.

It's of a parade, or perhaps a March Past.

First off, the white hose worn by most of the bands, and the cream/offwhite/ecru hose worn by one of the bands, puts the photo in the middle of, or early on, in the White Hose Era.

The sporrans also suggest a bit earlier date, before most bands went with the black Hunting sporrans with chrome top. The sealskin sporrans more or less rule out the USA.

Note that one band is wearing shoe buckles, another older feature.

Off the top of my head I would guess around 1990.

We have these tartans:

Isle Of Skye. I know the Isle of Skye Pipe Band adopted it fairly recently, but this is a newer tartan (1992) so should help in dating the photo.

Stirling and Bannockburn. Is this the Royal Burgh of Stirling Pipe Band?

MacLean of Duart (Weathered Colours). This tartan is worn by a large number of bands so who can say.

Black Watch (Ancient Colours) AKA Ancient Campbell.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks! Richard

The photograph has probably nothing to do with the Pipe Band(s) on the CD !

For sure it's just a stock photo.

I listened to a couple of the tracks online, yowza.

They're just a solo piper.

Oo a puzzle. We likes puzzles precious. Is it tricksy?

Clues other than the pipers attire: there seem to be tram lines down the street. Only Scottish city with trams is Edinburgh, but they were installed after the peak of the white sock trend, so I'd suggest this wasn't taken in Edinburgh. Of the English cities with trams, I'm pretty sure none have pipe bands that wear those tartans. The yellow stripe in the middle of the road also makes me think the photo was probably not taken in the UK.
So, where in the world uses yellow paint to mark the middle of the road, has trams, has pipe bands, and allows sealskin sporrans?

Here's the metadata from a copy of the stock image:

which I found being used on this site:

This is definitely not taken in the UK, I think, from some of the details pictured and the language in the metadata.

It looks like there are four images from the photographer on Adobe’s stock image site located here: https://stock.adobe.com/search?serie_id=726851

Here is another picture from the same photographer that appears to show the same type of street, tracks and a yellow center line, but a lot more background that may help place it: https://stock.adobe.com/images/street-festival/1165012

The photographer is also from Toronto if that helps?

There was a Stirling Pipe band in America which used the Stirling and Bannockburn tartan.
