I was really shocked to learn of his passing. I've never meet Mr. Dunsire, and I wish I could have thanked him in person. His work lets guys like myself who are rather isolated from the rest of the piping world stay in touch. I wish his family well. I don't know what else to say other than thanks.

I haven't visited this forum in quite a while, so this was a complete shock. I pray for the strength and peace for his family.
Rest in peace Bob.

I am devastated.

I considered him a great e-friend and I feel terrible for having been out of touch for so long, only to come to find that he has gone.

Many times I told him (by mail) that he was doing piping a great service.

His memory will be refreshed in us every time we visit these pages.

I know that no matter how much one prepares for the loss of a loved one when the time comes we are never really ready.

Diana, Alison, Elizabeth and family, there aren't enough words for comfort but the Love each of us feel for Bob, augmented by the hundreds and hundreds of mails, is a proof of his greatnes and that we modestly share your grief.

God Bless You,

Leslie
The Gaucho Piper
p.s. I was unable to hold back my tears, sorry.

In this sometimes dark and topsy turvy world Bob was a bright light and someone who created good things.

Thanks for making my daily life a little better!

Dunsire Family you should cherish the memory of your true gentleman and celebrate his life in all you do. Thanks for sharing your Dad/husband with all of us.

Bob's greatness wasn't publicized on TV or in the Newspaper but you can tell by the size of this thread how many people he has touched in a positive way.

God Bless

I didn't know Bob personally, but in these Forums he has left the legacy of a community which fosters co-operation, sharing, learning and friendship. Bob's spirit will live on in every time I share a tune, tip or trick that I picked up from this site.

Reading these messages I'm struck that one man could have such and impact on so many people spread out over the entire world. I didn't know Bob but it's clear he was a visionary. Thank God he was part of the piping world.

My condolences and rest in peace.
