Default Colorado Spanish Peaks Piping Retreat

I just booked my hotel, concert tickets, and retreat reservation yesterday. Curious who else is planning on going?

I look forward to making it to some of the jam sessions this year at the La Veta Inn after the evening concerts.

Talking to myself it would seem, but I walked away from Saturday's session with Jerry O'Sullivan with 8 new tunes (for the scottish smallpipes) and 6 new tunes from Ben Miller on Sunday.

Good stuff!

Thanks, Patrick! Great to have the contingent from Lubbock drive to southern Colorado for the Spanish Peaks Piping Retreat!!

Jerry O'Sullivan and Ben Miller were great! The scenery was awesome!

A chance to see Altan in concert on Friday evening was definitely a real treat...not to mention Outside Track and the High Kings

What talent we've been able to bring to our little part of the world!!

Stay tuned for plans for the 2017 edition of the Spanish Peaks Piping Retreat, focusing primarily on smallpipes!

What's great is we had Fin Moore last year teaching some traditional tunes and Jerry O'Sullivan teaching us some good Irish tunes this year, all tunes I wouldn't have gotten anywhere else.

I look forward to what new music I might pick up next year.
