Default Roll check for massed band scores

Does anyone have the roll check patterns for the EUSPBA massed band scores?

Do you mean what is the basic sticking for the rolls in the 2/4, 3/4 and 6/8 massed bands scores?

Tom,

YES, that is it!

I have four juvenile snares. Three 'get' the shorthand notation, but one does not. Showing her absolutely every stroke really helps.

You should get this book then Doug Stronach's Massed Bands

Thank Tom, I didn't know that book existed.
Does it show specific scores, or is it generic exercise that fit most massed band scores?
I can't seem to find an index to see what it includes

The book takes each massed band score and breaks it down into the fundamental sticking, and then builds from there to the final notated version.
There is a CD with the recording of each version of each score.

It's pretty much what you are looking for.

Here's the description from his website:

Quote:
This book and audio CD includes all of the popular snare drum scores played for Massed Band gatherings throughout Canada and the United States. Written by Doug Stronach and Hugh Cameron, the book details the 4/4, 3/4, 2/4 and 6/8 marches in both simplified un-abbreviated and standard abbreviated notation. The CD includes tracks as individual phrases, parts, whole scores and with piper accompaniment for each time signature.
These scores are in most cases the initial stepping stone to being able to join and play with a competing or non-competing pipe band in the USA or Canada.

eg:

The scores on the website are in shorthand/abbreviated notation, the way scores are usually delivered. To show the full sticking pattern really helps when you are learning, especially when listening to someone else play.

Tom: thanks, just wanted to make sure he covers those specific massed band scores. Ordering now!
