Before I dash out the door... you might consider
making your stock (though you may have to cut
it into the appropriately sized pieces) available
to (nationwide) gunsmiths... as well as the larger
manufacturers... for the handles of pistols.

I am told that Black Walnut pistol grips are highly
sought... prized... and valuable.

Some research into this might prove... efficacious...

(Just a thought... )

I have a set of borderpipes made with what looks like Laburnum for drones, stocks and cocuswood chanter. Michael MacHarg is fettling this set and coordinating the sharing of measurements among small pipe makers . More to come for pics and write up...
