Default R.I.P. Gordon Webster

We lost one of the greats today. Gordon Webster, 9th Sovereign's Piper (1994-1998), and former Pipe Major of both 2nd and 1st Battalions of the Scots Guards.

Survived by his wife Lezlie, son Campbell, and daughter Marielle. Amazing family of wonderful and talented people. For those who may not know, Lezlie is a highly sought after piping instructor and adjudicator (also of highland dance). Both Campbell and Marielle are accomplished multi-instrumentalists/performers. Campbell is one of the youngest professional pipers in the U.S., and plays often onstage with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers. Marielle, an accomplished highland dancer and fiddler is attending Lyon College, where her numerous skills and talents in the Scottish Arts are being put to good use.

Truly Gordon's legacy lives on through his incredible family, and the many lives they've all touched.

Rest in peace friend.

Well played by his son.
