Default Balmoral Versions

Hello folks,

I have two versions of the Retreat March "Balmoral" - version 1 with a pickup and version 2 without a pickup.

In version 2 in the fourth bar the minim c is extended by a crotched c.

Which version is the correct one or the most common one?

best regards

Matthias

See the recent long discussion on Green Hills, which applies equally to any 3/4 retreats notated incorrectly without the pickup notes.

And Matthias if it's the last thing you do, PLAY THE PICK UP NOTES! Always. I noticed there was a National Piping Centre piping school in Switzerland. Nice to see piping and drumming is continuing to thrive there!
