At what Grade Level do you currently compete in both band and solo?

Judging from his posting history, I think it would be easier for him to list those makes with which he doesn't have first-hand experience.

Are we really finding it so hard to believe that a guy who has been a professional musician for what, forty-plus years IIRC, has not seen a fair few sets of pipes in that time?

No! Steady! I am interested in what constitutes 'many', and which makes/models the fellow has had personal experience where the drones are 'not optimal', meaning reliable strike-ins are impossible.
