Well it's that time of the year when those of us who have pipes of a certain age that have mounts which have "mellowed" to a soft, orange patina, can be among the hip, stylish ones wit "Pumpkin Spice" mounts.

I think today’s Martha hipsters might refer to them as Butternut Squash

be on offer on the TP soon. Just in time. There's nothing like the shriek of a DE-tuned pipe from the bushes, to stir the creepy imagination.

Excellent idea. For the next month: pumpkin spice. (The other 11 months of the year they will continue to be referred to as cheddar cheese. Extra sharp.)

These are NEW, as far as I can tell, but not entirely original (HOW, you ask?) They came to me with a missing tenor bottom... it was recently (and brilliantly) replaced by Rick at Dunbar's. The hide bag had never been seasoned. No, you haven't missed the offering. With the joints now re-done (the very original hemp was dry and loose) the test drive will be tomorrow. TP posting to come soon.

Yes, and my apologies, had to
delay again... Two weeks with a failing and elderly pet have taken me off line with several projects. (Now he's looking up a bit, but it will be one more "tomorrow" at least.) There's a 2nd Lawrie in nearly as nice shape that's owned by our Band/Corporation. It may well go up in the same posting.
