Have you trired contacting the Pawn Shops in the Tuscon area, when you filed the Police Report? I would suggest a search of a 5 mile radius for pawn shops from where it was stolen. The majority of Pawns don't know much about pipes and Fences are going to try to turn over a set for cash if they can.

This. About 10 years ago, someone stole my trumpet out of my truck. Called every music store in the area and gave them a detailed description of it. Got a call that night from a store about 20 minutes away that someone sold it there for $50.

Went and repaid her the $50, but then had to wait a few weeks for the police to let me have it as it was evidence.

Had to assure them I wasn’t going to press charges, which, seeing as the person who stole it OD’d and died, would have been pretty hard to do.

CmJust in case....I've written the last 4 digits of my I.D. # inside the zipped bag ,and outside under the neck and inside the bag cover. Lightly scratching it into the wood the bottom of a tenor top ..all helpful to I.D.
it by police and for a speedy hand back by the PD if recovered. Pasting or painting bright 1" dots on the ends of the case to spot it walking away in a crowd might also be helpful.
