Newish Canmore Hybrid. Any ideas as to a possible solution? This is the only area where it's leaking, and finances preclude the purchase of a new bag at this time.

If it's "newish", can you not return it to Canmore (ask first of course)? They have a 2-year guarantee.

Oh too bad. I know someone who used a small tent repair patch (PVC I think) and glued that to the inner side of the leaky area. I myself used Shoe Goo on a smallish portion around the end of the zip on a Bannatyne WMC. Still holding after a year or so.

IMO, all of these bags on the market these days leak for various reasons and they are overpriced to boot..shoe goo has worked for me as well..needs a couple of days to cure properly, apply liberally.

Another vote for Shoe Goo®. My first synthetic bag started leaking after 9 years and a dab of Shoe Goo® kept it playing until I got in a replacement. However, it's replacement failed- cracked open at the bass drone grommet -after about 5 years, 5 minutes before I was to start playing for a wedding.

Wait. You got 9 years and 5 years out of those bags? That’s actually quite a bit....
