Default Pekaar Encyclopedia

I am starting to implement code that will restrict non-human users from interacting with my implementation of the Pekaar Encyclopedia (googlebots, bingbots, etc.). This isn't recaptcha, or anything similar; it is outright denial to use the resource.

Should you find yourself caught up in not being able to use the resource, please feel free to contact me. My intent is not to limit human activity.

Thank you for maintaining it in a way that we (humans) can use it!

Every time I click on a tune name (or page number, etc.) after doing a search, I get 404'd

Yep, I need to fix that. There were bots (er something) out of France which were just cycling through the links like mad so I had to rename some of the scripts involved (and block their whole range of IP addresses). Those links initiate a new search of the database for whatever it is you clicked on but they reference the old script name. It'll be fixed in a day or so.

Technicalities totally beyond me but what a fantastic resource and thank you for making it available to us. It must be time consuming.

I'm a computational chemist and there was more than one boring day back in grad school to fool around with the code.

Bob Pekaar is doing all the really tedious work!
