Default Maxville - Who is attending ??

We are about 3 weeks away from the big Glengarry Highland Games. The PPBSO will not have the participants listed until the week before the contest..... SO .... curiosity is killing me.

What bands intend on making the trip this year?? Both The Braemar Pipe Band (Grade 4) and the Jack Dunbar Memorial Pipe Band (Grade 5) will be making the trip again this year.

Secondly .... predictions by grade??

Grade 1
Toronto Police (if they are attending)

Grade 2
Midlothian (again if they attend)

Grade 3
Hamilton Police (will take a pretty performance to beat them)

Grade 4
The Braemar Pipe Band (again will take a pretty good performance to beat us)

Grade 5
Jack Dunbar Memorial (although this is the hardest grade to predict).

My only prediction...and everyone knows how I hate this kinda thing....is that Grade II should keep eyes wide open on Fredericton.

As for the other grades...one never really knows until we see who the players are. It's never good to predict your own band is going to win..just in case..ya know?

If CoP goes, they have a fair chance of getting it, consitering the level they've brought thier band to and all that...

Alway my sentimental favorite, being from NB and all.........even if it is Fredericton! Just to many Carters in the band though.

I dunno John, can there ever be too many Carters in a band?

Can't wait to hear them up close and personal though.

I'm not going to start making set predictions, but Fredericton should put on a good show in Maxville, their drum corps is exceptional (must be those Carters). The same could be said for the CoP, but the pipers will really need to redeem themselves as they haven't won a competition yet (correct me if I'm wrong, this is just what I've been told). The CoP drummers will definitely be a tough corps to beat. It will be a fanstastic weekend, that's for sure.
