No love for How to Train Your Dragon? Sounded wonderful at the Edinburgh Tattoo.

Yes, that is really a great tune for pipes, was a lot of fun playing that in EDI 2011, but... I think: difficult to transport on pipes solely with a certain degree of recognition...
But, try and see the audience reaction...
Much fun

From "I Know Where I'm Going," Cutting Bracken, Brown-haired Maiden
From "The Quiet Man," Isle of Innisfree, Rakes of Mallow, St. Patrick's Day.
From "Rob Roy," O'Sullivan's March"

..although Rob Roy, a fiddler, would likely have known the tune as "The Rock and The Wee Pickle Tow"

And as long as we're throwing movies about, from "They Died With Their Boots On" "Garryowen"

What about the movie "Waking Ned Devine": the main musical theme is the trad. irish tune "Parting Glass", just great.also on the pipes

It's not much of a song without an orchestra but the tin whistle bits from Concerning Hobbits works well on the pipes.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Dances With Wolves...Heres to The Heros AKA John Dunbar's Theme, composed by John Barry. It fits nicely on the pipes.

As mentioned earlier Mansions Of the Lord but along with that Sgt. Mackenzie is even more recognized from that movie.
