About one third Scottish, about one third Irish, and the rest is German and possibly English. My grandfather came over form Scotland and I have Scottish ancestors on my mom's side also -- both via Canada, where my mom was actually born. I suppose that means I'm Canadian-American.

My ancestry as far back as can be determined is Serbian. I was born in Belgrade, but my family came to Canada when I was one. Do I have Celtic ancestry? Who knows - supposedly there were Celts in modern-day Serbia once. At least that's what I've heard.

I'm what in my area is considered a latecomer; Canadian since 1820. My patronymic from Skye. The Jedburgh is a result of post '15 wanderings.

However, I consider the key to it all is here and now -- Glengarry County and its culture.

Hmmm... We all do... seem to inhabit... a very, very large... Woodpile... :)
And there are... apparently... many Celts in it! ... one way... or another! :)
