Default Battle Of Britain Dinner tunes?

Greetings All,
I ran a quick search and didn't see anyone had typed about this, so here goes.

I've volunteered to pipe for a local Battle of Britain remembrance dinner, and THE FOOLS ACCEPTED! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAaaaaaaa....

But seriously, anyone have any recommendations? I'm thinking Battle's O'er or Green Hills to pipe in the head table, possibly High Road to Gairloch. AG of course for the memorial portion.

Anyone have anything more appropriate? TIA

Nelson

Spitfire by PM Angus MacDonald. It is in Bob Worrall's book #2, one of PM Angus MacDonald's books, and (I think) Scots Guards 3.

Perhaps other tunes of the era such as The Tipperarry Song, and perhaps Abide With Me, instead of AG for the memorial tune?

Best,
jeff

How about the two part 4/4 Royal Air Force March as played by RCAF pipe bands.

The "White Cliffs of Dover" can easily be played and I have played it for many WWII Army Air Corps funerals and memorials.

I don't know if it can be consider a Battle of Britain tune, but it means a lot to the American veterans who were stationed in England.

Excellent suggestions all, and thanks. The RAF tune is especially intriguing, except RAAF will also be participating. If it was ONLY RAAF then Waltzing Matilda would be the call....
