Hi everybody, in doing a little searching for a new pc I came across a Frazer Warnock Special pc on Henderson`s site....it claims to be a bit shorter than other long pc but has pipe chanter finger/hole spacing. Question is ...does anyone here have any experience with this pc and what is your opinion if you do? Any info appreciated....thanks!

....pipe chanter finger/hole spacing. ![/QUOTE] That is always a long pc claim to fame... when I put a standard nect to a long I can scarcely see a meaningful difference that would affect playing...imo and from actual experience. |

People always seem to remark positively on the comfort of the Colin Kyo pipe chanters because of the hole spacing. Not having played on one, I've wondered about it. |

Thanks guys, but,I asked about this particular pc because the description has it sounding very similar to a Cushing pc I used to have which was more in line with a pipe chanter spacing than other long or short pcs that I`ve owned in the past...

![]() However, I like to rest the sole of my long Naill PC on my leg rather than a tabletop. Charlie

RE: Long PCs: I've found my long PC feels more like a pipe chanter in spacing. The increments, when you compare the two types of PC side by side, don't look drastically different, but they definitely feel different to the fingers.
I also like the fact when I rest it on my knee it doesn't cut out on low G. Good luck in your choice. |

Re 'Long'practice chanters - also think about the (slightly) more natural / closer to the pipes position that the wrists take when playing.
