Greetings to All... and as usual... Thank you... Adam... :)

And now... back to the original bent of the Post... :)

"Lili Marlene" makes a reasonably good pipe tune... and
as it was then taken up by both sides... would well qualify...
and the tune then being used... on this side of the stick...
for further songs ("The D-Day Dodgers" comes to mind).

And on this western side of The Great Pond... there are
several... if not many songs... that also make decent pipe
tunes... and are still well- known... and world-wide... from...
The Great War...

Two that immediately leap to mind are... "Over There"...
and "Grand Old Flag"... and there are others... still there
for the finding... (Please do jump in... and contribute. :)

As to the now up-coming 11th of November's Hundredth
Anniversary of the Armistice... wouldn't the Forum be a
lovely place... to help with an appropriately large turnout
of pipers... and in public settings... for a most proper and
thoughtful... regard... and commemoration... of the day?
(Shall we now... and presently... bestir ourselves?)

Regards to All,

Pip01

Any chance you can point me to a copy of Lili Marlene for the pipes?

It would be quite the hit with a local regiment.
