Default VE Day Piping May 8th 3PM Local Time

(Please Note: Well, I've hit th' wrong bleedin'
key in the Title Line... and cannot edit it into
correctness!! :(The proper date is... the 28th!!)

Greetings to All,

With all of our now-prevalent computer and I.T.
sluggishness due to shelter-in-place orders
and lots 'n lots 'n of people being home... and on
their computers... a new notice has just fallen
into my In Box... and noting a Change of Time. :)

The world-wide commemorative piping for the
World War II cessation of hostilities in Europe...
... V-E Day... will take place on Thursday, the
28th of May, and at 3:00 PM...15:00... your
local time... and where ever you may be. :)

The requested tune is: "When the Battle's O'er."

And if any here (or any others that you may know,
and where ever they may be :) wish to participate...
have them contact Bruno Peek at the web site.

It is: www.veday75.org.

If you wish... you may register... or just play the
tune without having registered.

Wishing Bon Chance!!... and Good Weather... to All,

Pip01

Greetings to All,

For both military memorials and funerals,
"Taps" is quite easily played... upon our
Great Beast.

Regards to All,

Pip01

A Quick and Happy Post Script:

Having managed to hit the wrong keys on
my keyboard... and bollixed-up the date :( ...
I did hit all of the proper notes on the chanter...
including "Taps"... as it was requested by one
of the small (and far-distant :) group there...
and all went well.

The weather at my spot was good... and I can
but hope it was the same for most of us... and
where ever any might have been.
