Default Curious eBay smallpipe

Saw these this afternoon: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hamish-And-...940a%7Ciid%3A1

I've only seen a couple Hamish Moore sets in the wild, and these don't look like the ones I've seen. Seller claims they're a pawn shop purchase. Any ideas?

A little Googling suggests that these are EJ Jones/Tidy Cottage. Is there a Moore chanter in there?

These look like EJ's pipes to me. The bellows and chanter stocks are a bit different than mine but other than the wood used, they look very much the same.

Not HM pipes. Perhaps one of the chanters.

Actually, I posted about this on another thread. They are a set that was stolen from a friendís car five months ago. And yes, the pipes were made by EJ. One of the chanters is made by Rob Felsburg, canít remember the 3rd. I think the case that was being used to hold the pipes came from Hamish Moore.

A mutual friend recognized them yesterday, and the police have been contacted. I was attending a piper gathering with the original owner on Sunday, when he found out. According to him, the ebay poster is cooperating with the authorities, though Iím unsure why the post is still up.

In any case, looks like this will be resolved soon.

Cheers,
~Nate
