My favorite piper, easy choice:

My student Ben McClamrock ... easy to teach and whenever I hear him play I'm (a) in awe, and (b) thankful that I don't have to compete against him (yet).

Oh yeah ... chaperoning two boys kept me on the relatively straight and narrow. In fact I only had two beers at Winter Steam.

It was good to see your smilin' face again.

Now that's a man with self-control,......I'm pretty sure that I spilled more than that.

It was a treat to be able to spend a few moments with you Chris, I look forward to seeing you again!

Pipers? I have several "favorites",...each for a different reason, and none of whom are world class.

Ditto here, Tommy.

I guess my other favorite piper would have to be Bob Hardie ... any guy who could get a pipe band to play music with the sparkle and precision of Muirhead & Sons "back in the day" is okay in my book. Winning piping at the Worlds 11 consecutive times ain't half bad.

Add to that his status as a Gold Medallist solo player, bagpipe designer / maker, and business magnate ... hard to top!
