Default How many bands/pipers in the USA?

I believe someone's already answered this question (as much as it can be) but I'm having no luck searching for the thread. Anyone? Bueller?

Could this be the thread that you're referencing? I remember seeing a map or infographic at some point, but I can't recall.

Seems like a Herculean undertaking to map/tally every band or piper in the States. Best of luck!

Hey Aaron. Hope you are doing well.

Here are some more threads that may be of interest...

How many Pipe Bands (2016)

How many GHB and pipe bands are there in the world? (2009)

How many pipe bands? (2004)

I don't think there was any firm answer and it's a moving target, as you know.

Not sure how much this would help your quest, but I particularly enjoyed reading the names of many individual pipers that registered for the recent Battle’s O’er Tribute. It was nice to see how many solo players in our locality took part.

Hope this helps!

Quite possibly one of the only Iranian players of the Highland Pipes in the world.

Greetings to All,

Since the advent of... continuing ease in everyone's
national... and international communications... along
with the concomitant and now the more easily acquired
good ... kit and gear... and on-line tuition... if geography
and distances are an issue... the simple answer is... lot's
'n lots, 'n lots, 'n lots!! ... And... even more... on the way!! :)

The pipes are just wonderfully grand... which is why we
are all here. :) ...And... the music... intrigues... captures...
and enthralls... and so the learning begins... :)

Alas... we... have come to be... rather like... our planet's
blue-green algae... (good colors, those :) ... and... once
established... as impossible to eradicate... as it is to quantify. :)

And so... the number(s)... would seem to always be... "X"...
and ... ergo... beaucoup... and beaucoup... and beaucoup!!

And for those wishing to get tore in to The Piping Game...
we wish you Good Cheer!!... and a very warm Welcome!!...
to our seemingly...ever-growing throng!!

Regards to All,

My friends all know,
With what a brave carouse...
