Default Bag Size

How do I figure out my bag size for a new bag cover? Unlike a T shirt where it is indicated in the collar there is no indication on my bag. I assume there are rough measurements that I could go by.

Cheers! Phil

a 10 1/2" bag height is typical of a size medium. then measure the length. what kind of bag?

I came across this on the Isle of Skye Site
L&M Hide Pipe Bag

Medium: 10.5" h x 28" l

Large: 11.25" h x 28.5" l

Extra Large: 12" h x 24" l

That should answer my question.

Cheers and Peace! Phil

There's always this too:

I always welcome additional entries to keep it updated.

Thank you Andrew. Exactly what we needed for the San Jose Emerald Society Pipes and Drums.

Best wishes from over the hill.

Cheers! Phil

Andrew, do you have a similar guide to bag cover sizes?

Highland Gear in Canada ( google) turns out very very nice bags...different prices/products. Tell them your bag type/size...you’ll be good ...and very pleased with the product and price.

I don't blame you. It would be just as big a mess as the bags.

Many things are like that. I was trying to figure out my jacket size, and measured five or six blazers/sportcoats... I discovered that two jackets with rather different measurements both fit me well, while two jackets with the same measurements fit me quite differently.

The jackets' stated sizes had little correlation to their actual measurements.

It didn't make any sense.
