Diana, Alison, and Liz. You carry a great name which has been made by your Father and his parents, and also by yourselves and they way you all have lived.

As a father, and a piper, while I am saddened to lose your father and husband from the piping community, I know the loss to you is much greater. I lost my own father this year, but not as young as you, so I am very sorry.

It must make you very proud to read here how many people have been so touched by him and have been so glad to know him. Remember what he taught you, and carry him in your hearts. My parayers are with you.

I think somewhere Bob is sitting on his fold-out camping chair, with his wide-brimmed Tilley Hat enjoying beautiful music and sharing a story and a smile with good friends.

All my love and sympathy to Diana, Alison and Liz. Your beloved husband and father was an inspiration to us all.

Upon hearing the echoing of bagpipes God will open wide the gates of heaven for Bob to enter into the eternal Kingdom, and the Lord shall smile and say to him..“Well done good and faithful servant"

To Bob's family you have my prayers and sympathy.

I have not turned the computer on for the past week, I am stunned. Bob will be missed and I hope this forum continues on in his memory. Who ever is taking it over has big shoes to fill. This forum is undoubtly the best resource to the piping world.

Very Sad. Bob will be sorely missed. I only knew him through the forum and emails, but even just from that it was clear that he was a great guy with a great sense of humor.

I hope Bob knew just how much impact he had on the piping community and how many people his work touched.

My condolences to the family.
