I could not believe it when I read the announcement, I thought that Bob had entirely recovered from previous blows of his illness. How very sad, and depressing - my condolences go to his family and to those who knew him personally! But as long as his forum will live Bob Dunsire will be remembered, every single day, his website is a wonderful contribution to communication and understanding on a global scale. I admire him for that, for his creative spirit, and for his dedication to the piping world. We will never forget you, Bob.

On behalf of all of us in the Fredericton Society of Saint Andrew Pipe Band, we wish Bob's family all the best during this difficult time.

His name will forever live on as a staple in the piping and drumming fraternity.

It's amazing to feel great sadness for someone that most of us have never met in person, yet that is the kind of impact that his ideas and contributions to our chosen passion has. Bless you, Bob Dunsire.

The Parting Glass

Of all the money e'er I had, I spent it in good company;
And all the harm I've ever done, alas was done to none but me;
And all I've done for want of wit, to memory now I can't recall,
So fill me to the parting glass, goodnight and joy be with you all.

Of all the comrades e'er I had, they're sorry for my going away,
And all the sweethearts e'er I had , they wish me one more day to stay,
But since it falls unto my lot that I should go and you should not,
I'll gently rise and softly call, goodnight and joy be with you all.

God bless you and keep you Bob. My heartfelt condolences go out to Bob's family.
