Default C Foot-Joint for Uilleann Chanters - Videos

A couple of videos of the foot-joint that allows the playing of C below the bottom D to better illustrate how it works, for those interested. They are a bit rough (I'm not a seasoned uilleann piper). I hope to have some better ones down the road.

(I posted these on other forums a while back, but forgot to do so here.)

This is very interesting. Doe it have any effect on popping octave?

None whatsoever. Once you get used to using the foot-joint, all other regular features of playing remain the same. This was a design parameter that I spent a lot of time on - making sure that the foot-joint doesn't interfere with any of the functions of regular playing.
