Default Kinnaird drone reed O-ring broke

I'm guessing any big box hardware store carries the same one?I'm not sure how it happened, I've only had them for a year.

I am sure, based on my previous experience with him, that if you contact Rob Kinnaird he will see you right.

Home Depot carries something you can use. Cheap and quick! Used to be, 10 in a pack for under $2.00.

Yep...quick and easy to do. Not to state the obvious...I think asking Rob Kinnaird by phone to confirm what size O ring to get won’t hurt.

I mentioned here recently about having installed new O rings which seemed visually the right size. When the reeds still didn’t perform well the UK maker sent me the correct OEM ones.
I was immensely surprised to see they were about half the size of what I tried....and very very tight. Way different than days of yore caution to not tie a cane reed bridle too tight.

Something in the back of my head says maybe it's a #31 o-ring.

If you take the broken one to the store just get one that's a bit smaller. The broken one stretched out. It will be somewhat difficult to get the new o-ring on (because it's not all stretched out yet).

Replace them all, because the ones that haven't broken are stretched and won't sound as good.

The auto parts stores have kits with a huge selection of sizes! it couldn't hurt to call or e mail Kinnaird!

Yes, #31 o-ring is correct. Available at your local hardware store.

#31 is 9/16 x 5/16 x 1/8
