Default Favourite note?

What’s your favourite sounding note? I’m rather partial to C for some reason.

High G for sure. Get it perfectly in tune and it's tonal bliss!

Low G on GHB, C# on SSP, but I like them all and often wish there were a few more.

I like to think high G is my favorite but I cannot deny what I feel when I hear an IN TUNE (or just BARELY out) high A.

Though maybe it’s because so many high As are flat (or sharp) that it finally feels resolved to hear one in tune, and I’m just relieved.

A slightly flat high A. It has to be slight enough to give a little vibrato against the drones.

I like a High B- positively exhilarating and raises Eyebrows .

I like D - many of the more haunting minor scale tunes start or end with it

Well now, that depends on the drones!

Two vintage pipes I'm currently playing I was drawn to due to the wonderful striking harmonics the drones produced when I play F. (I've had pipes which did next to nothing for F.)

My old Lawries just boomed when I played B.

Pretty much all the pipes I've owned were good for C, E, and High G.

D was mentioned and some drones do little with that note. The nicest harmonics I've heard on D were from Cushings, as best I can recall.

Hmm... and depending entirely upon the tune... there are
few as satisfactorily resounding to me... as that Low G....
and especially... when held at the end of a line...

("Lochcabe No More"... leaps to mind!! :)
