Default Queens Own Highlanders, Standard Settings

Another out-of-print treasure. One is on Ebay, not in the greatest shape, but the tune pages appear to be well-preserved. $75 USD is kinda steep, to be sure ... but this book is very hard to come by, and the tunes it has in it are great. Always sad to see books go out-of-print, and become lost over time as copies grow scarce:

Also, another copy is available on Jim McGillivray's site, for $145 CAD ... also a steep price, but the condition is much better. MIND YOU ... I'm not arguing the prices ... just recognizing that the amounts are certainly what would be considered high. This is a very good book that's out of print, so it's only sensible that the price be elevated.

Again, just sharing as I come across things I've found to be hard-to-come-by.

Cheers all,
~Nate

Really?! I have a beat up copy. Maybe I should Xerox it and resell the book.

I like the QOH book quite a bit. I managed to snag one a while back for about what the Scots Guards books go for new, and figured I'd gotten a heck of a deal.

In the spirit of sharing hard to fund stuff, there's a decent looking copy of the old Royal Irish Rangers standard settings book listed on Amazon right now. I think I've come across about three of them for sale over the last ten years. Unfortunately it's priced even steeper than the QOH books at $229.

Jeeze, that's a smoking deal! And from Walmart of all places! My first volume of the Scots Guards is the old 1954 book, found tucked away in the back of a used bookstore in Cape Breton for $20ish CAD. No such luck on the second volume.

Yes, sometimes a mistake is made. When SGIII first came out it was on Amazon for some stupidly low price.
