Default 2020 setup?

With the challenging and stressful times (and fewer competitions), have people been using more time to experiment with different setup this year?

I've got 2013 Naill pipes with Ezeedrone reeds (Increased Absorption bass), Canmore bag with just a tube trap, Naill chanter and G1 Platinum reed. With the lack of band events and competition, the sheepskin I usually use spring to fall (too dry in the winter) hasn't been used this year.

I'm alternating between 2 sets- 1979 G&M with original chanter, Gannaway bag, Using Mur- reeds and Colin MacLellan reeds in the chanter, along with a GlenArley synth reed on occasion; BalanceTone Hi Res and Selbies in the drones. I have found that wide temperatrure swings- 90˚+ one day, 60s the next can make reeds that were reliable suddenly get whanky, so I keep at least three sets going for each pipe at all times.

The other set is ABC poly drones and stocks and a Roddy MacLellan poly B flat chanter, Lee cowhide bag, adjustable blowstick. Also using Mur and MacLellan reeds in the B flat chanter, Selbies and BalanceTione Hi Res as well.
Moose valves in both sets.

No. My setup has been just fine. My mind has been more focused on self-motivation to practice while band is not in session.

Same old... L&M leather bags...
Same old... Kinnaird Original Green Synthie Drone Reeds...
Sane old... cane drone reeds... when occasion demands...
Same old... cane chanter reeds...

Ain't nothin' much changed...
Ain't likely to...

I am pretty happy with my current setup now.

Peter Henderson ABW pipes with Boxwood mounts, ferrules and bushings from 2019
Nail ABW with silver band from July 2020
J Troy chanter reed and Tone Protector
Balance Tone High Resonance drone reeds
Lee and Sons premium sheepskin bag with zipper and grommets
Trap-Dri in a short tube in the blow stock
Ross canister system for the drones only.

I would like to find a used, uncarved, Nail ABW with a silver sole though.

Dunbar drones, Begg sheepskin bag, deluxe tube trap with TrapDri stayed the same.

Changed tenor reeds from Kinnaird Evo to Ackland Overtones, bass is still Evo for now.

Chanter is either laminate Kyo with a Melvin reed or a poly McCallum Gandy with G1 platinum.

My setup hasn’t changed, although I have tried some other reed combos. I still come back to:

Drones - Robertson
Drone reeds - Ezee tenors, Rocket bass
Chanter - Shepherd ABW
Chanter reed - MacLellan
Bag - Gannaway cowhide no grommets, with zipper

I did purchase a Begg sheepskin bag, but haven’t installed it yet. When the Gannaway needs replacing, the Begg will be tied-in.
