Default Mrs Maclean 2/4 March

Hi,

I'm looking for the 2/4 march "Mrs Maclean" by Donald Maclean. According to the Bob Pekaar site, it is published in the book "Pipe Music of the Clan Maclean" (which I have a request in for in the Trading post section), but was wondering if anyone knows if it is published elsewhere, or has any background on the tune other than "he wrote it fur his wife". Thanks in advance,

G

there is a 2/4 march Mrs MacLean by a Donald MacLean, so probably the same tune, in Donald Morrison's "The Highland Bagpipe" which is though a hard to find book. I can look when I am home tonight and see if they are the same tune.

The Pipe Music of Clan MacLean is still available from The National Piping Centre's shop. I don't know if anyone in North America offers it for sale.

I looked in each book this evening. It is the same tune in both books.

Hey Thanks for your help Chris,

However, I realised I was actually searching for a tune I already have - It's actual name is Mrs Donald Maclean. A nice 2/4 it is too!!

Thanks again,

Gillies
