Default Death of Hugh McWhinnie

Pipe major Hugh McWhinnie passed away on Wednesday September 18/13
Hugh was the former pipe major of the 400 squadron, Downsview Toronto and then the pipe major of the Toronto Service Battalion from 1985 - 2001.
Hugh was 83. He suffered from Lewy Body Disease with Parkinsonsism for approx. seven years. Rest in peace my friend.

Pipe Major Hugh McWhinnie passed away on September 18, 2013.
Hugh was the former pipe major of the RCAF 400 Sqd. Downsview Base , Toronto.
Most recent, he was pipe major of the Toronto Service Battalion pipe band in Denision Armoury, Toronto from 1985 - 2001when the band was forced to disband.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on October 19, 2013 from 1pm to 4pm at the Bradford Valley Speciality Care on the 6th line ( Simcoe Street)Bradford, Ontario.

I was just thinking about Hugh the other day. Shocked to read of his passing so long ago.

During my visit to Canada, i came across a tune composed for this gentleman called McWhinnies Paybook which is a very nice melody. I donít `believe it is published anywhere though
