Default Bagpipe music writer for iPad

This might have been asked before, but is there some software/app for writing pipe music on an iPad? I already have the Windows version of Celtic Pipes but being able to fiddle with ideas on the move is appealing.

There are various apps for both Android and iOS that handle ABC, which is a general purpose text-based method for typesetting all sorts of music. It is fairly simple to learn, and very efficient to input once learnt. Andrew Lenz of this parish has an excellent introduction, and there is a list of apps here:

I'm not an iOS user but Tunebook on Android has worked well for me (though I do almost all my ABC on desktop, I must admit).

Thanks, Callum. I'll look into this. I also use Android so something that is common to both (eg a text based system) would be good.

Tunebook works well on iOS , and allows you to easily import abc tunes or complete books from sites or your computer.
For Android I am a beta tester for trad musician, again works well

I've purchased Tunebook. Thanks for the advice.
