Right. In BCPA solo piping (outside of pro), MSR is in Grades 1 & 2; SR in 3, 4 & 5. Marches (e.g., 2/4, 6/8) are separate events, as are other musical forms.

Hi all,

There is a very good picture of the pipes in question on Anna's face book page for Aug 4 2018!

She has a very nice, refined sound.

Nice video, interesting to see/hear the differences between the pipers. The description says it was a competition for people visiting Scotland? I didn't quite get what they meant. There are some more videos like it.

This really makes me want to practice!

I suspect that they're either a modern set, or an old set that's been remounted.

I visited Anna Kummerl÷w's FaceBook page and yes it looks like the same pipes, the projecting mounts look like artificial horn (chipped) and the ferrules tarnished brass or bronze.

Kintail made loads of sets like that, and some other makers too.

Here's a pic from the Kintail catalogue, this set has artificial horn mounts and brass ferrules. Just imagine the brass tarnished dark.
