I had an email exchange with him a few weeks ago. I think he said he’d been traveling. I’ve been wondering why his site has been down for the past month.

Default Doug Macpherson still around?

I bought a set of pipes a few years ago like 5 and now can’t find his website. Is he still around. If so please let me know his website. Thanks

Always seems like over all the years here on this site that whenever someone can't reach a vendor or maker the answer always comes back that they are traveling...as if email is not possible outside of the home country!..more likely they don't feel like answering correspondence.

Hi all,

I have just (6 weeks ago) received a completely new set of his pipes.
Brilliant drones and marvelous turning job. Bouht a prcatice chanter as well.

Pipes were sent out from Bulgaria.

Cheers, Soren.

Yes, he sure is. Maybe contact Ronan Maguire, he speaks with Doug regularily.

Tried emailing him again several weeks ago with a question about drone reeds and no luck with a response. Living the good life in Bulgaria I suppose. Although, if he’s done making instruments it’s a shame. I came across a used set a few months back and quite like them.
