It hasn't given me any new hobbies I'm afraid, but every job I've ever done (with the exception of working in a bar when I left school) has come about as a result of being a piper.

Collecting books and CDs of pipe music. Seems to be no cure for that!

Bagpipe repair and reconditioning. I totally LOVE ripping apart sets and resetting pipes to "fit" the piper. I like tinkering with piping parts to improve them in specific pipes. Basically, I'm a maintainence junkie.
