Right ... as far as "advanced beginner" I think it's just the fact that Jim's book is definitely geared towards people who have been at it for a while, and want to hone specific skills.

Basically, I do feel that it could be a bit overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.

It wouldnt be long though, and you'll be turning to his book for years to come.
