Default Bands in Mass?

I'll be in/around Beverly, Mass for a week (next week) - any bands, events in the area?

Hey there Tommo,

If you'll be out this weekend there are the Round Hill Games on Saturday. It's not exactly close, but there will be plenty of bands and a Gr.II contest.

As for during the week. - How'd you like to play in some Independence Day parades?

I'd be happy to supply you with all the pavement your ghillies can stick to, all within a short drive of Boston...

Jared, marching in parades sounds so awesome ... ack, however I was thinking more of a local event or band practice I could stop by and visit. Surprised there are no bands in the area but oh well, I may just have to drink or do something equally productive!

Cheers!

There are quite a few in tha area.

There's the Kevin Barry Band out of Malden. I have no idea how to contct them, as I am not a member.

There's also the Bunker Hill Pipe Band. You can get in touch with them throught their myspace.

There are bands in the area, but because of the 4th all three bands I teach are off for the week. Salem, which is the next town over from Beverly has a small 4th party with fireworks and such on Pickering Wharf if you are looking for something to do. Sorry but you picked a bad week for pipes

There's a small band marching in an 8am parade on the 4th of July in Beverly Farms. It's called the "Horribles" parade. http://www.beverlyfarms.org/fourth.shtml

I am from Malden and I didn't know there was a band in Malden. I haven't lived in Malden since 1978 and of course since I started piping 6 years ago, I still didn't know there was a band. My family is from Malden and I am in Malden once or twice a week. COOL! I will have to look them up.

After my practice today, I would qualify.
