I think that a band with anything ohter than black or navy blue stands out, not a bad thing. I would love a burgundy uniform instead of black. I just don't get why we can't get affordable, reasonably well made jackets/waistcoats for both men and women in a variety of colours.

Have you looked on Amazon? I just picked up navy blue and a burgundy vest, tie and pocket square set for short money- under $40 (Both, not each) with shipping.

The world is a little smaller without Sandy in it. I ordered a vest once, and he talked 4 hours. I wanted to stop and let him get back to working, but the stories were so great. Then, he sent the vest without any payment, and I sent him what it was worth and some extra for him to donate to his charities. I recall it was an orphanage in Japan.

I had a similar purchase experience. I wanted a vest ..in a hurry....ha! I new calling by phone would go no where...so I replied to a prior old email from Sandy. In the subj. box I simply wrote " I need a black vest in a hurry...my size"

The vest arrived two days later ( I'm in the same state) ..no invoice. Of course I sent my payment back..

I hated to hear of Sandy's passing. He was always so helpful. He carried great vests-- lightweight and smart looking. And at a great price. Surely some Highland apparel supplier will offer these vests from whomever Sandy was buying from. If I knew his supplier, I might even go into the business myself.
