Default Vanity Liscense plates

OK, how many of us have vanity liscense plates? What are they and are they piping/drumming related?

I wanted to get one this last year, but what I wanted was already taken. Bummer.

Years ago I was in the mood for such, went into the DMV office where they had a list of vanity plates already issued, and EVERY piping-related thing I could think of was already being used. Piper, Piobaireachd, uilleann, bagpiper, tartan, kilt, sporan, chanter, drone, ceol, feadanach, cuisil, piobair, etc etc in every spelling conceivable (as long as it was confined to seven letters and/or numbers)was already taken.

Mine's not piping related as I got the plates prior to my venture into the piping world.

Mine's ETTSN. Which isn't piping related, of course.

Mine is "GO SK8N" for my other hobby, inline skating.

Before that I was the unofficial marching band for radio station KNBR San Francisco. They had a t-shirt that looked like a California license plate and had KNBR 68 on it because they were 68 on the dial. So, my license plate was "BAGS 68" for many years.

Vanity plates are great fun and some are very clever.

Cheers! PHIL

Mine is "OLBROAD", because every place I'd ever been stationed I was the 'Old Broad" in the unit. The DMV was almost didn't let me have it. They were afraid somebody might think "OLBROAD" was offensive. I almost went with "MAPIPES" though, because I used the money I'd saved for my pipes on the down payment, but because I had to fight for the other one, I wasn't gonna let it go.

When my wife & I got a new car we got "N2PIPNG", which had to go before an acceptance committee at the DMV as we were told that it could infer that we were into 'crack piping' or "into pimping". After explaining what it meant and handing the lady my business card of the church I pastor at, she sent it off to the committee where it passed by 3-2.

When we got my new truck, she got me one which I really love and suprised that it wansn't already taken. It reads "4MYPIPR"! Now that's love!!!
