Same L&M hide bag that came with the pipes in 1981. Seasoned when it seems to need it. Granted, I don't play daily. But it's survived. Still airtight, barring a miniscule air leak near the chanter stock which was remedied with a zip tie next to the original tie.

If I have to replace the bag, I'll get something similar.

A quick question, a little unrelated, but on the same topic...

I am thinking about switching from a large Bannatyne full synthetic (floppy GoreTex material) bag to a medium Bannatyne hybrid bag (with side zipper). The two main reasons for the change are size (I feel like I can't quite get my arm around the large... I'm 6'1", and it's right on the cusp) and I don't like the floppy feeling of the full synthetic.

I'm considering switching the bags out myself, but would like to hear other's opinions on level of difficulty. Based on the Henderson Imports YouTube video, it appears to be straightforward, and something that can be done at home by a reasonably competent person. My pipes are relatively new (2015 McCallums), so I'm not worried about fit issues or odd sizes.

Obviously this would be my first time swapping bags, and I've only been piping for a couple of years now. Any thoughts or tips would be appreciated!

I've got a newer medium Canmore hide/synthetic bag (black bag) and it's great! Very comfy and I find it breathes much better than my Bannatyne WMC bag. I've got the Bannatyne MCS in the Canmore and so far this combo is working very well.

Changing bags should be straight forward, but may involve some tugging on the grommets of the Bannatyne to remove the stocks from the bag. Much easier to pull the stocks out than try to push them back through the bag.

Thanks for this bit of advice. I was just wondering how to remove the stocks from the old bag (pull out, or push in).
