Default Monthly Composition Thread - Jan 2020

It's the return of the monthly composition thread! The same deal as last time: have a go at composing something based on this prompt and submit it for (constructive) criticism.

Maybe it would be nice to hear some attempts at recording submissions (self or others) as well?

This month's prompt is a slight twist on a very standard 2/4 ending tag:

Well done, David!

I really enjoy these threads, even though I personally can't compose a tune to save my life.

Oh, I missed David's contribution completely - what a fantastic tune. As I said in the other thread I might have over-reached with the difficulty of this month's prompt but this is a fantastic response to it.
