Default Kinnaird Evolution Bass Drone Reed O-ring Bridle

Hi, I have one of these reeds and the O ring has split, does anyone know the exact size replacement to get, I see from other site that durometer (hardness) of the O ring is an important factor, thanks for any help, martin

You can get spare o’rings directly from Rob at Kinnaird.

However, I believe that they the same as specified for the Rocket Reeds, which are 75 or 80 durometer.

Andrew Lenz has detail on Rocket reeds on his website:

If you can’t (or don’t want to purchase from Rob Kinnaird), I’d probably try one of the o’rings specified for the Rocket reeds.

it says the outer diametre is .500" or 12.7mm, is this the size O ring inner diametre or would you need smaller for tension?

Mark Lee specifies 5/16” i.d. for the o-rings.

Actually, I went back through my email. When I purchased Evolution reeds from him, the bass o-ring was split. He sent a new one very promptly.
